Orzel Singleton founded Singleton Roofing in Sarasota, FL in 1969. He wanted a better way to treat customers by bringing expert roofing knowledge, honesty and integrity to his fellow Sarasotans. Due to illness, Orzel handed control of the company to his son, Alvin in 1977, knowing he would continue to treat customers with the same honesty and integrity. The company was incorporated with the state of Florida as Alvin J. Singleton, Inc.
Alvin is a past-president of the local (SMRSMCA) and state roofing (FRSA) associations and continues to serve on the board of both. He is on the licensing board for Sarasota County and members of both Sarasota and Manatee Chambers of Commerce and the BBB of SW FL.
